Situated in the heart of Lucerne, BHMS is a member of the Benediict Switzerland school group and was founded in 1928. The school, which provides higher education opportunities for adults with ambitions of success and is one of the largest private educational institutions in Switzerland, has more than 15,000 part-time and full-time students every year.

Our school is one of the largest and oldest private educational institutions in Switzerland, located in Lucerne and consists of 4 campuses.

Each academic year, students have the opportunity to study for 6 months and do a paid internship for the other 6 months. The school guarantees internship placements for students.

The BHMS Campus buildings and student residences are located in the heart of Lucerne, within walking distance of the city center and each other. Studying and living in the heart of this unique city offers students the conveniences of city life.

At the Benedict Zurich campus, 8,000 students receive language education, health programs, information technology, security management, commercial internships and business management programs each year. The school offers diplomas based on crafts, technology and management, Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts and MBA programs.

At the BHMS Luzern campus, 700 students per year have the opportunity to receive future management training in the hotel and hospitality industry. BHMS, in collaboration with Robert Gordon University of Aberdeen in the UK and City University of Seattle in the US, offers Bachelor of Arts and MBA/PGD programs.

BHMS implements a unique system in its academic life and divides the 20-week semester into 4 periods of 5 weeks. This system allows students to focus on their education more easily and to learn the subjects without accumulating them.

Internship training in the sector is a part of the education to be received at BHMS. Each academic year, students participate in an internship training that will last 4-6 months in hotels or restaurants. The school also works with a number of international agencies that specialize in placing graduates in countries such as Europe, Asia and North America

HTMI Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management

HTMI Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management provides students with training for management careers in the tourism industry worldwide. The school’s teaching staff consists of leading managers in the industry who are successful and provide quality education to students in terms of the demands of management positions in the hotel and tourism industry.

The school has five different departments; International Hotel and Tourism Management School, International Tourism Research Center, International Organization Management Education Center, Business Career Center and Gastronomy Management Center.

The programs offered by HTMI include 5-6 months of academic education followed by a 5-6 month internship program. During the internship program in Switzerland, students can earn an average of 2200 CHF Gross per month, and after insurance, accommodation, food, taxes, etc., an average of 1200 CHF pocket money. This amounts to 6000 – 7200 CHF during the internship program, so students largely earn back the tuition fees they paid to the HTMI school.

In addition, HTMI is supported by international hotel chains worldwide such as HILTON, INTERCONTINENTAL Hotels & Resorts, AMARI Hotels and Resorts, NOVOTEL PEACE BEIJING, RENAISSANCE Hotels & Resorts, DAMAT Hotels & Resorts. Representatives of these hotels visit the school throughout the semester. HTMI graduates work in well-known hotels in many countries around the world.

HTMI is located in Soerenberg, one of the most beautiful regions of Switzerland in Canton Luzern. The city of Soerenberg is also famous worldwide for its winter sports and ski resorts. This region is located in the German Canton and Swiss German is spoken.

Students come here from all over the world to receive the famous Swiss style hotel education and have the opportunity to stay, work and study in Swiss hotels furnished in accordance with quality standards and traditions in a real hotel atmosphere.

The hotel campus, which is included in UNESCO’s natural beauty protection program, is the only protected area in Switzerland. A beautiful example of ecotourism, Soerenberg creates a perfect tourism area by blending tourism and nature.

The region, which attracts many tourists with its weather conditions that rise up to 25 degrees in summer, clean and green surroundings, and fun and lively ski resorts in winter, provides students with the opportunity to communicate with tourists from more than fifty countries every year.
