MEB Selection and Placement Scholarship for Students to be Sent Abroad for Postgraduate Education

About the Program

In order to train the qualified manpower needed by higher education institutions and other public institutions and organizations, students are sent abroad for postgraduate education with the scholarship given by the Ministry of National Education (YLSY Program), based on the Law No. 1416 on Students to be Sent to Foreign Countries.

This scholarship, which is available for those who want to study for a master’s or doctoral degree abroad, is given by the Ministry of Education. A table is published within the scope of this scholarship and people are educated in the field and country in which they are placed. This scholarship, which is valid worldwide, also includes language education for those who do not meet language proficiency. The duration and place of language education are determined according to language proficiency. This period is considered within the scope of the scholarship. According to the selection made in the table, people also determine which academic institution or public institution they will work in upon their return.

Application Process

An announcement regarding this scholarship was made on August 5, 2019. Candidates have been informed that they will make their applications via REBUS (Official Scholarship Student System – http://rebus.meb.gov.tr) between 07-26 August 2019.

Application is made online. After a preliminary selection, an oral exam is conducted by the Ministry of Education. After the oral exam, documents are requested from those who are eligible to receive a scholarship.

Jean Monnet Scholarship Program

About the Program

It was implemented with an agreement between the Republic of Turkey and the European Commission.

It is a scholarship opportunity provided to students who will conduct research or postgraduate education at a university or an institution equivalent to a university in the European Union member countries. The Jean Monnet Scholarship Program is offered for studies on issues related to the EU acquis.

An announcement regarding the scholarship program is made once a year.

Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) International Scholarships

TEV was founded on May 4, 1967, under the leadership of the late Vehbi Koç, to support the solution of the fundamental problems of our national education.

Fulbright Türkiye America Scholarships

About the Program

The Türkiye Fulbright Education Commission started its work within the framework of the bilateral agreement signed between Turkey and the United States in 1949. Scholarship Duration

Heinrich Böll Stiftung Association Scholarship Program – Ecolarship

About the Program

The Heinrich Böll Stiftung Association offers scholarships to master’s students who have chosen energy conversion or environmental justice as their main research area, starting from their third semester, that is, students who have completed the course phase.

Conditions Required for Applicants

1. Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey,
2. Being enrolled in a master’s program at a university recognized by YÖK in Turkey,
3. Having determined rural development or renewable energy / energy efficiency as the main research area and thesis topic, and

Hungarian State Scholarship (Stipendium Hungaricum)

About the Program

The Hungarian State Scholarship was first introduced by the Hungarian Government in 2013. The main purpose of the program is to increase the number of foreign students studying in the country and to encourage successful international students to study in Hungary.
